Kelly and Matt’s Uluwatu Wonderland Wedding

Kelly and Matt’s wedding at Wonderland in Uluwatu was blue and white from start to finish, on a clifftop above the Indian Ocean. The ceremony was right on the cliff edge, and the evening ended with the whole party dancing under the fairy lights.

Getting ready at Wonderland

Kelly and Matt arrived at 2pm and got ready on site, two hours before the ceremony. Kelly spent the time in a room of sheer white curtains, in a ruffle-sleeved robe with a glass of champagne, her bridesmaids in dusty blue around her. Her bouquet was pale blue orchids, white flowers and long trails of eucalyptus, and Matt wore a linen waistcoat with a blue orchid on the lapel.

An outdoor wedding ceremony on the cliff edge

The 4pm ceremony was held on a stone platform at the cliff edge, with the sea behind it and red, pink and white bougainvillea along the front. Guests sat on rattan chairs along an aisle of petals, and Kelly walked down it on her father’s arm to applause. After the vows, the couple walked back through a shower of white petals, and everyone gathered on the clifftop for a group photo.

Sunset drinks on the clifftop

Guests moved to a white bar under a black-trimmed umbrella for cold beers, cocktails and fresh coconuts engraved with Kelly and Matt’s names. The seating plan was written in script on tall white boards at the cliff edge, and a saxophonist played while guests found their tables.

Blue and white wedding styling at dinner

Dinner was beside the pool under fairy lights and rattan lanterns, with blue and white floral plates, blue toile napkins, teal goblets and gold cutlery. Hydrangea, white roses and greenery ran down the long table, and a pale blue arched sign marked the bridal table. Kelly and Matt’s grand entrance was met with guests on their feet, waving their napkins overhead.

Dancing under the fairy lights

Kelly and Matt had their first dance on a white floor with their monogram in the centre, and Kelly then danced with her father. The saxophonist joined the party on the dance floor, and near the end of the night Kelly threw her bouquet to a crowd of guests with their hands in the air.
