Adrienne and JS’s wedding at Seseh Beach Villas was not exactly a traditional Bali wedding.

Adrienne walked down the aisle in a red tulle gown carrying a custom floral umbrella, while JS wore a sharp blue suit. Behind them was the black sand beach and the ocean, with soft pastel flowers and white draping keeping the ceremony feeling fresh and simple.

From there, the day moved into dinner under the lights, speeches, dancing, a Balinese fire performance and fireworks over the water.

It was a wedding with plenty of personality from the very beginning.

A red dress and a floral umbrella

The morning started with Adrienne getting ready at the villa with her bridesmaids.

There were plenty of quieter moments before the ceremony, including a personal note from JS and some time for the bridal party to get ready together.

Then came the dress.

Adrienne's red tulle gown was a pretty big departure from the usual white wedding dress, and the custom floral umbrella she carried down the aisle made the whole look even more distinctive.

JS wore a blue suit and glasses, and together they made a very good-looking pair.

A ceremony by the black sand beach

The ceremony took place outdoors at Seseh Beach Villas, with the black sand coastline and ocean behind them.

The ceremony structure was decorated with soft pastel flowers and white draping, keeping the styling light against the darker landscape.

Guests were seated beneath white parasols as Adrienne made her way down the aisle with her floral umbrella.

After the ceremony, everyone threw petals over the couple as they walked back down the aisle together.

There was plenty of time afterwards for photographs with the bridal party, including a few moments on the beach where JS's groomsmen managed to get him off the ground.

A change of pace for the reception

As the afternoon faded, the reception started to come together.

A transparent marquee was set up on the lawn, with soft fabric draping and crystal chandeliers overhead. Long tables were dressed with pastel flowers and candles, while the open sides kept the ocean and evening air very much part of the setting.

There were floating candles in the pool, a custom mirror welcome sign and plenty of little details around the tables for guests to discover.

It felt elegant, but still relaxed.

Dinner, speeches and a few surprises

Once everyone was seated, the evening settled into dinner and speeches.

Adrienne changed into a beautiful pink dress and spent plenty of time moving between the tables and catching up with guests.

There were some lovely speeches, a few emotional moments and, as always, quite a lot of laughter.

But the evening was only getting started.

Fire, dancing and fireworks

After dinner, a Balinese fire performance took over the lawn.

It was one of those moments where everyone stopped talking and turned to watch, with the flames lighting up the space beneath the marquee.

Then the music took over.

Adrienne and JS had their first dance, including a very good lift and dip, before joining their guests on the dance floor.

And then came the fireworks.

The couple stood together watching the display over the water, with the lights from the reception glowing behind them.

It was a pretty spectacular way to finish the night.

A wedding that was never going to be ordinary

What we loved about Adrienne and JS's wedding was that they weren't afraid to make choices that felt like them.

The red dress. The floral umbrella. The blue suit. The black sand. The transparent marquee and chandeliers.

None of those things were there just to make the wedding look different. Together, they created a celebration that felt personal from the moment Adrienne walked down the aisle.

And then, once the formalities were over, there was fire, dancing and fireworks.

Pretty much the perfect way to finish a wedding at Seseh Beach Villas.
