Karen & Tommy’s Wedding at The Surga Estate
Karen and Tommy’s wedding at The Surga Estate was all about keeping things beautiful without overcomplicating them.
The setting did plenty of the work. Perched above the ocean in Ungasan, The Surga gave them the cliffs, the view and plenty of open space, while the styling stayed clean and predominantly white.
The day started with a simple ceremony overlooking the ocean, followed by dinner under the lights, champagne, dancing and fireworks to finish the night.
A white ceremony above the ocean
The ceremony was set along the cliff edge, with the ocean stretching out behind Karen and Tommy.
A white aisle ran through the space, lined with layered white flowers and soft greenery. Above it, a canopy of lights added some structure without blocking the view.
Karen wore a fitted lace gown with delicate detailing, while Tommy kept things classic in a black tuxedo.
The overall look was clean and elegant, with the white flowers allowing the ocean and the surrounding landscape to remain a big part of the setting.
A reception that changed as the light faded
After the ceremony, the same space gradually became the reception.
Long tables ran parallel to the ceremony aisle, dressed with low white floral arrangements, candles and simple table details.
As daylight disappeared, the overhead fairy lights became more prominent and completely changed the feel of the space.
It was still the same setting, but suddenly it felt much more intimate.
Dinner, champagne and a little more celebration
The reception stage was framed with flowers and candles, giving the evening a focal point without making the setup feel too formal.
Karen and Tommy sat with their guests for dinner before moving into the speeches and celebrations.
Then came the champagne tower.
They poured the champagne together before getting back to the party, with the evening gradually moving from dinner into dancing.
And then came the fireworks
The night finished with sparklers and fireworks over the ocean.
Karen and Tommy made their exit beneath the lights, surrounded by their guests, before the fireworks lit up the sky above The Surga.
It was a pretty spectacular way to finish a day that had been deliberately simple from the beginning.
A wedding that let the setting speak for itself
What worked so well about Karen and Tommy’s wedding was that nothing was fighting for attention.
The white flowers complemented the setting rather than trying to compete with it. The lighting changed the atmosphere as the evening went on, and the layout allowed the day to move naturally from ceremony to dinner and then into the celebrations.
There were beautiful details throughout, but they never became the whole story.
