Sinead and Sean’s wedding at Villa Phalosa was full of colour from the moment the day started.

The bridesmaids were in bright yellow, the flowers were packed with orchids and tropical blooms, and even the coconuts had the couple’s initials engraved on them.

The ceremony was relaxed and full of laughs, dinner was set beneath the lights as the sun went down, and by the end of the night there were fireworks and a very busy dance floor.

It was colourful, personal and a lot of fun.

Yellow dresses and tropical flowers

The morning started with everyone getting ready around Villa Phalosa.

Sinead wore a simple silk slip dress with sheer sleeves, while Sean kept things relaxed in a light blue blazer and crisp linen. The bridesmaids were dressed in bright yellow, which brought a really fun splash of colour to the day.

The flowers followed the same feeling, with vibrant orchids, anthuriums and tropical blooms used throughout the ceremony and bouquets.

It was definitely not a muted colour palette.

A ceremony full of colour

The ceremony took place outdoors beneath a large asymmetrical floral arch.

The flowers were bright and tropical, with plenty of colour against the greenery and the modern architecture of the villa.

Sinead and Sean exchanged their vows surrounded by their friends and family, before walking back down the aisle through a shower of petals.

There were plenty of laughs along the way, and the mood was relaxed from the start.

A few details that made it theirs

After the ceremony, guests were greeted with fresh coconuts that had been custom engraved with Sinead and Sean’s initials.

It was a small detail, but exactly the sort of thing that makes a wedding feel personal rather than like a setup that could belong to anyone.

There was also a custom bar menu, a guest book and plenty of time for everyone to catch up over drinks before dinner.

The bridal party made the most of it too, with a few group photos and, judging by the photographs, quite a lot of laughing.

Dinner under the lights

As the sun went down, the lawn was transformed for dinner.

Long wooden tables were set beneath a wide canopy of fairy lights, with crystal glassware, candles and bright florals running through the centre.

The modern A-frame architecture of Villa Phalosa became part of the setting, with the warm lights making the whole space feel completely different once darkness fell.

There were speeches, including one from Sinead, plenty of drinks and a relaxed dinner before the formal part of the evening came to an end.

And then the party started

Once dinner was finished, the dance floor filled up.

Sinead and Sean had their first dance beneath the lights, including one particularly dramatic dip, before joining their friends and family for the rest of the night.

The bride even ended up sharing a drink with the groomsmen, which probably gives you a pretty good idea of how the evening was going.

Nobody seemed particularly interested in sitting down anymore.

Fireworks to finish the night

Then came the fireworks.

Sean lifted Sinead up on the dance floor as the fireworks went off above them, with the villa glowing behind them and everyone cheering around them.

It was a pretty perfect way to finish the night.

A wedding full of personality

What we loved about Sinead and Sean’s wedding was how confidently they embraced colour and fun.

The yellow bridesmaid dresses, tropical flowers and engraved coconuts gave the day its own look, but none of it felt like styling for styling's sake. Everything worked because it suited the couple and the atmosphere they wanted.

The day started with family and friends around them, moved into a relaxed dinner beneath the lights and ended with everyone dancing and watching fireworks together.
