Anna and Dempsey’s wedding at Seseh Beach Villas had a little bit of everything.

There was a beautiful oceanfront ceremony, a vintage blue Land Rover, a long dinner table beneath crystal chandeliers, a wedding cake covered in fresh strawberries and, eventually, a dance floor that got more than a little chaotic.

The day started beautifully and calmly, but by the end of the night nobody was sitting down.

The ceremony took place on the lawn overlooking the ocean at Seseh Beach Villas.

Anna wore a stunning silver lace gown, while Dempsey went for a tan suit with a brown tweed vest and bow tie. The styling was kept soft and natural, with loose white orchids, pastel pink roses and greenery around the ceremony.

There were plenty of emotional moments, but also a lot of laughter. Anna and Dempsey had personalised vows, and it was clear from the start that this wasn't going to be a particularly serious affair.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered for photos before the newlyweds disappeared in a rather good-looking vintage blue Land Rover.

Just married

The Land Rover had been decorated with a hand-painted “Just Married” sign and a trail of tin cans behind it.

Anna and Dempsey climbed in and headed off for a little drive, giving them some time together while their guests relaxed around the villa.

It was one of those details that didn't need to be complicated. It was fun, looked great in the photographs and suited them perfectly.

Dinner beneath the chandeliers

As the sun went down, the lawn at Seseh was transformed for dinner.

A long banquet table stretched beneath hanging crystal chandeliers, with warm fairy lights around the space and white and pastel flowers running through the centre of the table.

Woven placemats and soft pink napkins kept the styling relaxed, while tall candles added a little more atmosphere as the evening got darker.

The ocean was still there in the background, but by this point the focus had shifted towards the people sitting around the table.

There were speeches, plenty of laughter and a very good amount of champagne.

A cake covered in strawberries

Then came the cake.

Rather than going for an elaborate wedding cake, Anna and Dempsey chose a simple white cake completely covered in fresh strawberries.

It looked great and, more importantly, it looked like something people were actually going to want to eat.

They cut the cake together before getting stuck into one of the more entertaining parts of the evening.

And then things got a little wild

Once the formalities were out of the way, the dance floor filled up.

Anna and Dempsey joined their guests beneath the fairy lights, and the evening quickly became less about looking after the perfect wedding setup and more about having a really good time.

There was dancing, plenty of laughing and a few photographs that definitely capture the mood better than words can.

By the end of the night, Dempsey was down on his knees on the dance floor, the couple were throwing themselves around the floor and the photographer was getting some brilliant motion-blur shots of the whole thing.

A wedding with plenty of personality

What stood out about Anna and Dempsey’s wedding was how much personality there was in it.

The setting was beautiful and the styling was elegant, but the day never felt too precious.

The vintage Land Rover, the personalised vows, the strawberry cake and the shoe game all gave the day its own character. And once the music started, Anna and Dempsey were completely in it with everyone else.

That balance is always a good one.

Beautiful when it needs to be, relaxed when it matters and, by the end of the night, a proper party.
