Thomas & Zoe’s Wedding at AYANA Bali
Thomas and Zoe’s wedding at AYANA Bali was clean, modern and very much about the details.
The ceremony looked out over the Indian Ocean, the reception was set up on the lawn beneath white draping and crystal chandeliers, and the evening finished with fireworks and a packed dance floor.
But before all of that, there was a beautiful afternoon spent with family and friends, with plenty of time to actually enjoy it.
A ceremony above the ocean
The ceremony took place on the clifftop at AYANA, with the Indian Ocean stretching out behind the altar.
The styling was kept fresh and modern, with white florals lining the aisle and framing the ceremony. Guests were given white umbrellas to keep the afternoon sun off them, which also looked pretty great against the white flowers and blue ocean.
Thomas wore a tailored tan suit, while Zoe looked incredible in her beaded gown and long veil.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the lawn for drinks and a chance to relax before dinner.
A little piece of their story
One of the details we loved was the outdoor gallery wall set up during cocktail hour.
Framed photographs from Thomas and Zoe’s life were displayed among the flowers, giving guests something personal to look at while they enjoyed their drinks.
It was a simple idea, but it made the cocktail area feel like it belonged to them rather than just being another wedding setup.
While everyone else was enjoying cocktails, Thomas and Zoe also managed to sneak away for some photos around the resort, including the beautiful white viewing deck as the afternoon light started to soften.
Dinner under the lights
As the sun went down, the lawn changed completely.
Long tables were set beneath white draping and crystal chandeliers, with pillar candles, white orchids and roses bringing everything together. Sage green menus added a subtle bit of colour to the otherwise clean palette.
It was elegant without feeling too formal.
Then Thomas and Zoe made their entrance.
And they didn't exactly arrive quietly.
Cold sparkler fountains went off around them as they made their way into the reception, which was a pretty good indication of how the rest of the evening was going to go.
A few speeches, a cake and then fireworks
After dinner, there were speeches and a toast before Thomas and Zoe cut their wedding cake.
Then came the fireworks.
With the reception still going below, fireworks lit up the sky over the water and gave everyone another one of those big moments that are hard to beat.
But the night wasn't finished yet.
Straight onto the dance floor
Once the fireworks were over, everyone headed back to the dance floor.
The lights changed, the music got louder and the formal part of the evening was well and truly done.
Thomas and Zoe were right in the middle of it with their guests, drinks in hand and plenty of dancing going on around them.
The party carried on well into the night.
A wedding that got the balance right
What worked so well about Thomas and Zoe’s day was the balance.
The styling was polished and considered, but the day itself never felt stiff. There was time to enjoy the ceremony, catch up with guests, look through the photographs from their lives and take in the setting before the evening turned into a proper party.
The white florals and clean design gave the day a really strong look, but it was the people and the atmosphere that ultimately made it.
Thomas and Zoe’s wedding at AYANA was elegant when it needed to be, relaxed when it mattered and a lot of fun by the end.
