Felicia & Forrest’s Tea Ceremony and Reception at Villa Phalosa
Planning a destination wedding does not mean you have to cram everything into a single day. Felicia and Forrest actually exchanged their vows at a different location on a completely different day. That meant their time at Villa Phalosa could be entirely focused on two things: a morning tea ceremony and a massive evening reception.
They started the day by honoring their families. Felicia wore a beautiful white lace cheongsam, and the couple served tea to their parents in front of a modern double happiness backdrop. It was a grounded, intimate start before the energy completely shifted for the evening.
For the reception, everyone moved out to the oceanfront lawn. The setup was simple and effective. They placed a wooden dance floor right in the middle of the grass and strung a canopy of fairy lights overhead to give the space a warm glow. Instead of a formal cake cutting, they opted for a champagne tower. It was a smart way to signal that dinner was winding down and the drinks were officially flowing.
From there, the DJ took over. The night turned into exactly what you want a Bali destination event to be. There were no rigid timelines or forced formalities left to do. It was just good music, a busy dance floor, and friends taking group shots under the yellow stage lights.
